Happy Skatesgiving: Helping the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley
Tis’ the season for helping! The Hudson Valley Horrors are proud to announce that a portion of our proceeds from our November 16th, Happy Skatesgiving bout, will benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The Horrors are dedicated to giving back to the local community and helping end hunger in our area.
Food Bank Mission
The mission of the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley is to alleviate hunger and prevent food waste. We work toward this mission by ensuring that all products available for donation reach the Food Bank and are distributed judiciously to our member agencies; by practicing responsible stewardship; and by actively participating in the community to increase awareness of hunger and poverty.
At this bout we will also be collecting donations at the door. Please bring non-perishable goods to support the food bank this holiday season! Please check the food bank website to see what items can be donated!

Pasta Fundraiser: An Italian Feast

On October 26, 2014, the Frightmares Junior Roller Derby and the Hudson Valley Horrors are hosting the second annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser. This will take place at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY. Proceeds will benefit our 2015 skating season. At the dinner, there will be baked ziti, salad and several homemade desserts! $10.00 All You Can Eat for individuals and $25.00 for a family of four! Come support your favorite local derby league and the future of derby!

Roller Derby Whips Cancer! Frightmares Fundraiser
Your favorite junior roller derby league, the Hudson Valley Frightmares is gearing up to join the fight against cancer by hosting their very first fundraiser on October 21st! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. The event will be a two hour skate-a-thon with games, prizes and raffles. Skaters can also be sponsored for $1/lap.
The Frightmares don’t like cancer, in fact they are ready to WHIP CANCER’S BUTT! Come help the fight against cancer and have FUN doing it!
